What this blog is supposed to be about

I started writing shortish pieces and publishing them online in reverse-chronological order, back in 1999 (they weren't called blogs back then, or at least I hadn't heard of blogs, which is admittedly more likely).

Using a Nokia N70 as a modem over bluetooth with a PowerBook

I had no problems with using my old 7610 as a modem, using Ross Barkman's excellent modem scripts. Yesterday I tried to set up my nice new N70 as a bluetooth modem. I grabbed Ross' Nokia 3G scripts and spoke to Vodafone, who sent me the relevant phone config and then... nothing.

Update, 5 April 2006: Mac OS X 10.4.6 includes iSync 2.2, which supports the N70 out of the box, so you can ignore this if you've got it. You can happily remove the iSync Agent app, which also solves the N70-as-a-modem clash as a bonus!
